Quotes, Proposals, and Project Scope
Any quote or proposal provided by Mantis Studio is based on the information available at the time.
A project may include specific deliverables, deadlines, production days, revision rounds, formats, platforms, or usage rights. These details should be confirmed before the project begins.
If the client requests additional work outside the agreed scope, this may result in extra costs and adjusted deadlines.
Additional work may include, but is not limited to:
Extra filming days
Additional edits or versions
New creative directions after approval
Extra revision rounds
Additional formats or exports
Script changes after approval
Changes caused by missing, late, or incorrect client information
Urgent delivery requests
Extra animation, graphics, subtitles, or post-production work
No magic portal here: if the brief changes, the quote may change too.
Client Responsibilities
To help us deliver the best possible work, the client agrees to provide all necessary information, materials, feedback, approvals, and access required for the project.
This may include:
Brand assets
Logos
Visual guidelines
Scripts or copy
Product information
Access to locations
Permissions for filming
Contact details for relevant people
Feedback within agreed timelines
Accurate project information
Legal permission to use any material provided to us
Delays in providing information, assets, feedback, or approvals may affect the project timeline and delivery date.
Payments
Payment terms will be defined in the quote, proposal, invoice, or written agreement for each project.
Unless otherwise agreed, Mantis Studio may require an upfront payment, deposit, milestone payment, or full payment before final delivery.
Final files may be withheld until outstanding payments are received.
Late payments may result in paused work, delayed delivery, or additional administrative fees where legally permitted.
Cancellations and Postponements
If a client cancels or postpones a project after approval, costs may apply depending on the work already completed, resources booked, and expenses incurred.
This may include:
Pre-production work already completed
Production planning
Crew, location, or equipment bookings
Editing or post-production already started
Third-party costs
Administrative time
Non-refundable deposits
If a shoot is postponed due to client-side changes, lack of access, unavailable talent, missing approvals, or other circumstances outside Mantis Studio’s control, additional costs may apply.
Revisions
Revision rounds should be defined in the project agreement.
Revisions are intended to refine the agreed creative direction, not to completely rebuild the project from scratch after approval.
A revision may include reasonable changes such as pacing adjustments, text corrections, minor visual changes, or small structure refinements.
A revision does not usually include:
A completely new concept
A new script after approval
A different creative direction
Re-editing based on missing brief information
Adding major new assets or footage
Changes requested after final approval
Extra versions not included in the original scope
Additional revision rounds may be charged separately.
Delivery
Final deliverables will be provided in the format, resolution, and platform specifications agreed for the project.
Delivery dates are estimates unless confirmed otherwise in writing. Mantis Studio will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed deadlines, but delays may occur due to client feedback delays, technical issues, production changes, third-party delays, force majeure events, or changes in scope.
Once files are delivered, the client is responsible for downloading, reviewing, and safely storing final assets.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all original creative work produced by Mantis Studio remains the intellectual property of Mantis Studio until full payment is received.
Once full payment is completed, the client receives the agreed usage rights for the final approved deliverables.
This does not automatically include ownership of:
Raw footage
Project files
Editing timelines
Animation project files
Design working files
Unused concepts
Unselected takes
Internal documents
Behind-the-scenes production material
Licensed third-party assets
Access to raw files, project files, or extended usage rights may require a separate agreement and additional fees.
Client-Provided Materials
If the client provides logos, footage, images, music, fonts, scripts, brand assets, testimonials, product claims, or any other materials, the client confirms they have the legal right to use those materials.
Mantis Studio is not responsible for legal claims, copyright issues, licensing problems, or third-party disputes arising from materials provided by the client.
The client is responsible for ensuring that any claims made in the content are accurate, legal, and compliant with applicable regulations.
Third-Party Assets and Licenses
Some projects may require third-party assets such as:
Music
Stock footage
Fonts
Plugins
Templates
Voiceovers
Images
Sound effects
Software or platform licenses
These assets may be subject to separate license terms. The client may not receive ownership of third-party assets, only the right to use them according to the relevant license.
If specific usage is required, such as paid ads, TV broadcast, cinema, global campaigns, or long-term commercial use, the client must inform Mantis Studio before the project begins so the correct licenses can be secured.
Portfolio Rights
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Mantis Studio may display completed work in its portfolio, website, social media, showreels, proposals, award submissions, and promotional materials.
If a project is confidential or under NDA, the client must inform Mantis Studio before the project starts or as soon as confidentiality applies.
Confidentiality
Both parties agree to treat confidential information with care.
Confidential information may include business strategies, unpublished content, private documents, campaign plans, financial details, internal processes, product launches, or any information clearly identified as confidential.
Mantis Studio will not intentionally disclose confidential client information without permission, except where required by law or necessary to complete the project with approved collaborators or service providers.
Website Content and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Mantis Studio owns the intellectual property rights for all material on this website, including text, visuals, graphics, layouts, videos, designs, branding, and portfolio presentation.
You may view and use website content for personal or professional reference, but you must not:

Creative work can be strong and still get bullied by the algorithm. Tragic, but true.
Consumer Rights
